Lala is the founder of Kenats Tun. Its mission is to unite artists, scientists, craftsmen, and others to raise the spiritual, intellectual, and material well being of Armenian society. Founded in 1997, Kenats Tun trains young people throughout Armenia in traditional handicrafts such as felting, woodcarving, embroidery and more. From Spitak in the north to Armavir in the west and Chambark in the east, a new generation of young artisans is being developed and nurtured. Lala has also worked with Syrian Armenians, teaching the tradition of needle felt to a select group of women.
